On 1 June 2020, the government updated its guidance for personal trainers and coaches on the phased return of sport and recreation in England.
It stated that;
“If you are a personal trainer/coach you can now work with clients outdoors, providing you are meeting no more than 5 other people from outside of your household, outdoors, and you are staying a minimum of 2 metres apart.
“You can meet with different clients in a single day as long as it is in gatherings of no more than 6 and you are maintaining social distancing.
"You should not spend time with anyone not from your household indoors."
“You should also enforce strong hygiene measures. This might be cleaning any equipment rigorously in line with wider guidance on hygiene, for example by using antiviral spray and washing hands thoroughly before and after use.”
I am therefore now delighted to offer Small Group Training sessions in
St Andrews Park, Bristol BS6 5AX.
The 1hr Group sessions will be Functional Circuit Training which will aim to:
Challenge your Cardiovascular fitness,
Blitz your core strength
Build your muscular endurance
Create greater postural and proprioceptive awareness
Improve reaction speed and agility (for injury prevention)
Kick start your engine (metabolism) and have you burning fat for the rest of the day.
So, if you've;
reached a stage where you are tired but can't understand why (because you're not doing much),
want to do something different outdoors but you're not sure what,
started feeling sluggish, demotivated or generally lacking in energy,
OR maybe you would LOVE to remember how it feels to be physically part of a group again.....this is for YOU!
If you can commit to just 1 hour of exercise a day, 3-5 TIMES a week I promise you, you will see and feel dramatic changes in your energy, mental sharpness and general sense of wellbeing, and could come through lockdown feeling and looking better than ever.
So let's get back out there and let BST Park Training Sessions be (at least) one of your 5 a week!
In order to avoid popular and busy times in the park and ensure we are able to adhere to the social distancing guidelines, I propose we initially start out with 2 trial groups as follows*;
Tuesday 7.30- 8.30am
*MORE SESSIONS CAN BE ADDED DEPENDING ON DEMAND

Sessions can ONLY be a maximum 5 people and bookings will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.
Please note the four key factors below that the government has outlined MUST be adhered to, and under no circumstances are these rules flexible.
1. The session must be conducted outdoors – where the risk of infection is significantly lower than inside 2. The session is with no more than 5 other people – the trainer/coach takes the total up to 6 people 3. The trainer or coach stays at least 2 metres away from the client – to meet current social distancing measures 4. Strong hygiene measures MUST be enforced at all times
From a personal professional point of view, I would also ask that should you feel you might be experiencing any common signs of Covid-19 (such as a persistent dry cough, headache, respiratory changes or sore throat) or have been in contact with anyone who is suffering, please get in touch to postpone your session.
